Experienced Grounds Maintenance & Landscaping Operative
We’re looking for a reliable Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team.
Role includes:
- Grass cutting and hedge maintenance
- Tree, hedge, shrub and herbaceous planting
- Turfing and grass seeding
- Weed control
- Mulching and seasonal horticultural maintenance
- Fencing, paving, edging and other hard landscaping works
- Basic groundworks and site preparation
- Operating handheld machinery and power tools
- Operating compact loaders, excavators and stump grinders (where trained)
- Carrying out daily vehicle, plant and equipment checks
- Working safely in accordance with company procedures and site-specific RAMS
- Delivering a professional service while maintaining high standards of workmanship
Full-time position with regular hours weekday hours (Mon – Fri – 7:30am to 4:15pm).
Due to the seasonal nature of our work, occasional early starts, overtime and weekend work may be required during busy periods.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping or horticulture
- Good communication skills
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work safely as part of a team
Desirable (not essential):
- PA1 & PA6 (weed control)
- CSCS Card
- Trailer licence (B+E)
- Plant or machinery operator tickets
- Experience operating compact loaders, excavators or stump grinders
- Basic plant identification knowledge
