We are committed to achieving high standards of health and safety management as well as protecting and enhancing the environment through the implimentation of comprehensive safety and environmental management systems. This is demonstrated through our accreditation with the Contracters Health and Safety (CHAS) Assesment Scheme.
Our staff attend regular seminars, conferences and training courses to continue their professional development ensuring that they are fully conversant with current health, safety and environmental legislation and industry best practice, including British Standard 3998 : 2010 - Tree Work Reccomendations and the Arboricultural and Forestry Advisery Group (AFAG) safety guidelines.
Our equipment and machinery is regularly inspected and serviced in acordance with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regualtions (PUWER) and Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER).
Site specific risk assessments are prepared before work commences on every site to ensure the safety of our staff and clients, third parties and the surrounding environment. Where specific equipment, techniques or environmental considerations are required a method statement detailing our standard operating procedures is also prepared.
We aim to recycle all of the waste generated from our tree and woodland operations in the form of saleable timber, firewood and woodchip, and try to reduce our operating footprint by sensible working practices.
Our health and safety, environmental, quality and training policies, generic risk assessment, company accreditations and staff certification are available on request.
